Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actress and singer-songwriter born in Los Angeles was born in 1983. Thompson is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Thompson was born in Los Angeles and raised there until moving to Brooklyn. Her father is of African-Panamanian family and her mother is from Mexican as well as British Isles origins. Thompson studied at Santa Monica High School where she was a part of numerous theatre productions. Following graduation, she was enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she earned a degree in the field of cultural Anthropology. At Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she performed the role of Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". In the same year, her performance earned recognition with the NAACP Theatre Nomination. Away from the theatre stage, In 2005, Tessa had her first television appearance as she appeared on the CBS show
